Did you witness a cop smashing off our comrade’s finger outside of the 11/20/09 Wheeler occupation?

If you recall, over the summer the UCPD cop who smashed one of our close comrade’s fingers outside of the 11/20/09 Wheeler occupation was exonerated by the UCPD internal review board.  But did we expect otherwise?  Now we’ll get to see what a judge rules when our comrade takes UCPD Chief Mitch Celaya and  second in command Captain Margo Bennett to court.  Why Celaya and Bennett you might ask?  Simple: neither will disclose the identity of the assaulting officer.  Our comrade’s case is pretty airtight, but we thought we’d give her some help by putting out a public call for witnesses.  If you saw her pinky smashed off against a barricade outside of Wheeler on November 20, 2009, drop us a line at thosewhouseit@gmail.com and we’ll put you in touch with her.  Let’s help her bring charges against the violent cops who’ve been beating, pepper spraying, and battering nonviolent student protesters!

Update: We have a few reliable witnesses so far; let’s keep them coming!  Meanwhile, we’ve also learned the identity of the assaulting officer: Brendan Tinney of UCPD.

"I'm not gonna tell you again!"
